AI recruitment

AI that helps with hiring work and leaves the decisions to you

Sevenhires uses AI for three pieces of hiring work: writing a job advert, writing assessment questions, and summarising candidates' written answers. It does not reject, shortlist or hire anyone. The AI tools come with a company's paid plan.

Drafting a job advert

You give the details of the role and the AI drafts the description, responsibilities and requirements. It is a first draft: check it, correct it, and take out anything that isn't true of the job before you post.

Writing assessment questions

The AI suggests questions for a skills assessment. You choose which to keep and can edit them, so the final test is yours.

Summarising written answers

When candidates answer free-text questions, the AI reads those answers and lists the skills they mention, apparent strengths and concerns, and topics you might raise at interview. It only sees what the candidate wrote in the assessment. It can misread an answer or miss something, so read the answers themselves before you act on a summary.

What it can't do

  • It can't tell you who will do well in the job.
  • It isn't free of bias. AI can repeat unfairness found in the text it learned from.
  • It makes no decisions about candidates. People at your company make them, and answer for them.

Using AI fairly in hiring

Judge every candidate for a role on the same criteria, use AI output as one input among several, and keep a person responsible for each decision. Tell candidates when you ask for an assessment and what it is for.
