About this role

Operate raise borers (box hole drills) for the mechanical construction of shafts and ore passes

Responsibilities

• Install and operate raise borers to complete pilot hole driling and reaming; monitor drilling direction and torque; handle stuck pipe and other downhole faults; change drilling tools; maintain equipment; ensure raise quality and safety

Requirements

• Independent raise borer operation experience; familiar with the full pilot hole and reaming process; able to read orientation and geological data; underground mining experience.
