Procurement Manager

About this role

Uganda Batteries Limited (UBL), an indigenous battery manufacturer in Uganda is looking for an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and ensure the business has the materials, products and services it needs to operate efficiently and grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement and procurement planning.
• Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation and negotiations.
• Drive cost optimisation, quality and supplier performance.Jobs
• Oversee inventory requirements, imports and logistics coordination. Ensure procurement compliance and timely reporting.
• Partner with Production, Finance and Operations to support business continuity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply or equivalent.
• 6+ years’ relevant experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.Power Supplies
• Strong negotiation, supplier management and cost-management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
