Business Development Trainee

About this role

Lafab Solutions is looking for a Business Development Trainee to support our sales and business growth activities. The successful candidate will help identify potential clients, generate leads, understand client needs, arrange meetings, follow up on opportunities and support the conversion of prospects into clients. You will use Lafab Solutions' Sales/CRM System to manage prospects, contacts, sales opportunities, activities and follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential corporate clients and organisations.
• Identify businesses with recruitment, staffing and workforce-management needs.
• Build and maintain a quality prospect database.
• Identify relevant decision-makers and maintain accurate contact information.
• Contact prospects through approved channels.
• Qualify leads and understand their business and workforce needs.
• Identify suitable Lafab Solutions services for potential clients.
• Create and manage sales opportunities in the CRM.
• Arrange client meetings and sales appointments.
• Support presentations, proposals and quotations.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and active opportunities.
• Keep sales activities, conversations and next steps updated in the CRM.
• Re-engage dormant or undecided prospects.
• Record reasons for lost opportunities and provide useful market feedback.
• Support the Business Development Officer in converting qualified opportunities into clients.
• Maintain an organised and up-to-date sales pipeline.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, HR or a related field.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Good computer and internet research skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, email and other digital tools.
• Good organisation and follow-up skills.
• Confident communicating with businesses and decision-makers.
• Ability to work towards targets and handle rejection professionally.
• Proactive, persistent and willing to learn.
