Responsibilities

• • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures tailored to healthcare settings.
• • Provide safety training and workshops for staff to enhance awareness and preparedness.
• • Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety officer role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• • Strong knowledge of local health and safety regulations in Uganda.
• • Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are an added advantage.
• • Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
