Responsibilities

• • Manage the procurement process from requisition through to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
• • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms while maintaining quality standards.
• • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings, capabilities, and financial stability.
• • Collaborate closely with project managers and other departments to define procurement needs and specifications.
• • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or shortages.
• • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement data to ensure transparency and compliance.
• • Prepare and submit procurement reports to management, highlighting trends, opportunities, and challenges.

Requirements

• • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in the construction industry.
• • Strong understanding of procurement regulations and best practices in Uganda.
• • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with procurement software or databases.
• • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals critically.
